The School Support Specialist and Project Director of Safe Schools NOLA worked with the school leadership teams to conduct an assessment of current school needs, priorities, procedures, and practices and develop an action plan to align these needs, priorities, procedures, and practices under a trauma-informed vision. The goal of this work was to ensure the capacity and commitment to move forward with the implementation of trauma-informed approaches following the intervention year. This process was modeled after The Flexible Framework approach introduced by The Trauma and Learning Policy Initiative. The Safe Schools action planning tool can be found below.
